WHOMA vs HomeOwners Alliance

HomeOwners Alliance’s Best Estate Agent Finder helps sellers compare local agency performance. WHOMA offers individual professional profiles and a structured proposal workflow with selective seller access. Performance research and reviewing an agent’s proposed work can be complementary.

Eligible signed-in estate agents can use the enabled Compliance Agent preparation pilot: chat, reviewed excerpts and explicitly requested editable text drafts. It does not run AML checks, approve compliance or send agreements.

Coverage and access

Agent-first onboarding with selective seller access. The Compliance chat pilot focuses on England and Wales residential sale instructions; Scotland and Northern Ireland require specialist processes.

Understand the metric before using the ranking

A reported time to sale, likelihood of finding a buyer and final achieved price answer different questions. Ask what each measure counts and when its clock stops. Agreeing an offer and completing a sale are different events.

Then use shortlisted agents’ proposals to examine the work they will actually do. A proposed marketing plan, who handles viewings and how progress is reported should be evaluated alongside historic results. A ranking alone does not specify your service agreement.

One service, with a historical name

HomeOwners Alliance previously announced a partnership under the EstateAgent4Me name. Its current consumer finder uses the Best Estate Agent Finder branding. We cover that naming history here instead of presenting two independent comparison products.

For a practical decision, ask three shortlisted agents to work from the same property details and priorities. Compare their explanations for valuation differences and their included services; neither the highest suggested price nor the lowest fee should decide the appointment alone.

WHOMA today

Professional context. Structured decisions. Preparation for review.

WHOMA centres the individual estate agent’s professional profile. Its seller workflow connects a brief, a proposal window, comparable proposals, a shortlist and appointment to gated messages and sale milestones. Seller access is selective: check availability before relying on it for your move.

WHOMA’s Compliance Agent helps eligible estate agents organise instruction details, identify missing information and prepare summaries, checklists and reviewer questions. Reviewed PDF, DOCX or TXT excerpts can be sent in chat; document drafts require an explicit request and can be edited and downloaded as text. Private history and an optional next-day in-app follow-up support returning to the work. This is preparation for human review: the full case workflow, live AML checks, agreement sending and unattended case execution are not enabled. The pilot focuses on England and Wales residential sale instructions; Scotland and Northern Ireland need their own specialist process.

Sources and what remains unverified

The explanatory page has a long publication history. Its published coverage and data-sharing account have not been tested through a submitted enquiry. Check the current terms rather than treating historical wording as a tested current experience.
